Background: His father and his grandfather had both been CorSec agents, so it was only natural that a young Corran Horn should become one as well. However, his happy CorSec days were shattered when the Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk killed his father in an "accidental" shooting. Corran, aided by his friends Gil Bastra and Iella Wessiri, left Corellia and eventually joined up with the New Republic. He became one of Rogue Squadrons hottest pilots, participating in the conquest of Coruscant, but was captured on the very day liberation was achieved. Placed in Isard's Lusankya facility, he resisted all brainwashing techniques and became the first prisoner to ever escape from her prison. Upon his escape from Lusankya, Corran discovered that he was from a line of Jedi Knights and had the potential to become one himself. Initially turning down Jedi Skywalker's offer to join his Academy, he helped liberate the planet of Thyferra and later married smuggler Mirax Terrik. Corran flew with Wedge throughout the deadly Thrawn Campaign and later fulfilled a promise he made to his fellow Lusankya prisoners by rescuing them from the vestiges of Isard's clutches.
