Background: Porkins's hatred for the Empire was fostered by the forced evacuation of the entire population of his homeworld of Bestine IV. Jek joined the Rebellion and became one of the more skilled X-Wing pilots in the Alliance. Nicknamed "Belly Runner" for his "large physical stature" and strafing skill, Porkins flew many missions for the Rebellion and took part in the assault on the Death Star at Yavin. Unfortunately, Porkins was hit during the starfighter battle and slammed into the space station at full speed.
