Background: A Shistavanen from Uvena III, Riv Shiel is not someone to trifle with. Shiel earned an Imperial death mark for killing a stormtrooper team that was trying to arrest, thinking him to be the famed Shistavanen scout Lak Sivrak. After that he traveled around the galaxy, eventually joining Rogue Squadron as one of its pilots. While he appeared gruff and forbidding, he and his wingman, Gavin Darklighter, got along together quite well. Riv helped with the conquest of Coruscant, and was one of the first to catch and recover from Ysanne Isard's deadly Krytos virus. When Rogue Squadron resigned in a body to continue to fight against Isard, Riv joined them and flew many bacta convoy raids with them until he was killed during an ambush by Imperial Captain Ait Convarion.
