Background: When Imperial forces leveled the planet of Toprawa in revenge for the destruction of the first Death Star, Tyria Sarkin, a trained Antarian Ranger, found herself without a family, a fugitive on the desolate world. When Alliance Intelligence operatives came to Toprawa on a mission several years later, she hitched a ride with them and joined the New Republic. But her troubles were not over yet. Eager to fight against the Empire that destroyed her home planet, she joined a starfighter training squadron, but washed out and was placed in a remedial training squadron under the command of Colonel Repness, where she narrowly escaped a tangled web of black marketeering. But her career was not yet over. The skills she had learned as an Antarian Ranger and her slight Force awareness eventually got her accepted into Rogue Squadron, where she worked hard to bring her piloting ability out of the basement. She stayed with Wraith Squadron after it was decommissioned as an X-wing unit and continues to fight with them. She and Kell Tainer, another member of Wraith Squadron, are rather close nowadays.
