Background: Wes Janson began his Rebel career as a pilot in the Tierfon Yellow Aces, flying alongside pilots like Jek Porkins and receiving a True Gunner insignia for superior performance from General Jan Dodonna himself. While illness prevented Janson from taking part in the Battle of Yavin, he flew gunner's station for Wedge Antilles at Hoth. After the destruction of the second Death Star, Janson and fellow pilot Hobbie Klivan began to train new fighter squadrons for the New Republic. However, when Wraith Squadron, a new unit of commando pilots, was formed, Janson was transferred as the units Executive Office. He flew and participated in many Wraith missions, helping destroy the power of Warlord Zsinj. After Wraith Squadron was decommissioned as a fighter squadron, Janson returned to Rogue Squadron. He flew with Wedge during the Thrawn Campaign and afterwards, nearly dying when he was shot into space by Prince-Admiral Krennel's forces. But Wes survived and continues to be one of the more formidable, if slightly insane, pilots of the New Republic.
